The Sterling Municipal Library serves over 76,000 residents of the city of Baytown, Harris County, Texas. It began as the Goose Creek Library, a branch of the Harris County Library system, before becoming a municipal public library in 1963. Since then, it has expanded into a 50,500‑square‑foot facility that houses approximately 175,000 volumes and circulates about 700,000 items annually. The library provides meeting rooms for eligible community groups, along with services such as printing, copying, scanning, faxing, 3D printing, test proctoring, and curbside pickup. It also offers storytimes, workshops, and a variety of other programs for all ages.
