The South Houston Branch of Harris County Public Library serves 15,800 residents in the City of South Houston. The library is publicly funded and managed and holds a collection of over 36,000 volumes, with approximately 103,000 items circulated annually. It was established in 1927 and has since expanded its collections, features, and services. The South Houston Branch provides library resources, a computer lab, computer & technology classes in English and Spanish, Citizenship classes, proctoring, and adult literacy services.
