The Rockridge Branch Library serves more than 400,000 residents in the city of Oakland, on the east side of San Francisco Bay, in California. It is a public-funded library under Oakland Public Library (OPL), founded in 1878, with a main library and 16 branches. With the addition of the Rockridge Branch Library, the county library system now includes more than 900,000 volumes of books and nearly 600,000 eBooks, of which more than 2.8 million are circulated annually. Additionally, OPL caters to nearly 300,000 registered borrowers in the county and welcomes almost 1.5 million visits from 17 sites.
