The Ray D. Prueter Library serves over 21,400 people in the Port Hueneme City of Ventura and is part of the Ventura County Library. The library is publicly funded and contributes books and media resources to the 379,800 volumes and about 626,520 items in annual circulation by the Ventura Library System. It provides a computer lab, WiFi, book drop, self-service, early literacy computers, wireless printing, and print/scan/copy machines. It serves as a homework center through the support of the Rosenbluth Family. It also offers weekly Storytime on Tuesdays and Summer Reading programs.
