The Presidio Branch Library is part of the San Francisco Public Library, which serves 815,200 residents in the city of San Francisco. The Library System maintains 2.7 million volumes and circulates 10.6 million items per year. Presidio Library was established in 1898 as the sixth branch of the Library System. It provides fiction and nonfiction books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, reference materials, and small collections of Chinese and Russian resources. Additionally, it offers Storytime, Tai Chi, Health & Wellness programs, and other library events and services.
