The Mission Valley Library serves 1.3 million residents in the City of San Diego and is a part of the San Diego Public Library. The Library System maintains 5.2 million volumes and circulates 6.8 million items annually. The Mission Valley Library opened its doors in 2002 and is housed in a 19,760-square-foot building with a children's library, meeting and study rooms, and a computer lab. It offers 26 computers for public use, WiFi, an Art class for homeschoolers, Tai Chi activities, gameschool academy, and other library events.
