The Maurine Gray Literacy Center serves over 112,000 residents in the City of Beaumont and is part of the Beaumont Public Library System in Jefferson County. It is housed on the lowest floor of the Main Downtown Library and is affiliated with a national literacy organization ProLiteracy America. Maurine Gray Literacy Center offers basic literacy tutoring, English as a Second Language (ESL) learning, citizenship test prep, and GED preparation.
