The library system maintains 6.3 million volumes and circulates 15.3 million items per year. The Mar Vista Branch was opened in 1927 and now occupies a 12,500-square-foot building. It provides English and Spanish collections, Book Bundles To Go, Cybernauts, Public Computers, Self-checkout, Tech2Go Bundles, Teen Quad, WiFi, ZoomText, Wireless Printing, and Scanning services. The branch also offers programs such as English Conversation Class, Stand Up Comedy Open Mic, and Tai Chi.
