The La Pintoresca Branch of the Pasadena Public Library serves about 135,732 residents of Pasadena City in Los Angeles County. The library, which also serves as a community center, was established in 1930 and housed in a 6,225-square-foot building with large meeting spaces, computer labs, and a children's play area. The branch library maintains about 56,000 items, including African-American history, arts, music, career and business books, and Spanish language collections. It provides children and teens programs, computer classes, and access to Foundation Directory Online Professional database.
