The Hillsdale Branch Library serves over 100,980 residents of San Mateo and is part of the San Mateo Public Library. The Library System maintains 313,062 volumes and circulates 922,790 items per year. Hillsdale Branch Library was opened in May 1957 to replace the South Branch. It offers free public wireless access, computers, printing, copying, scanning, and other library events.
