The Grass Valley Library serves roughly 13,000 City residents and is a branch of the Nevada County Community Library, which maintains 184,200 volumes and circulates about 634,500 items per year. The library opened its doors in 1916 and has served the local business and arts community residents since then. It is open from Monday to Saturday and offers public computers, programs, and services for children and adults.
