The Crosby Edith Fae Cook Cole Branch Library serves over 2,000 Crosby residents and is part of the Harris County Public Library. It began serving the community in January 1922 through the efforts of the Crosby Friends of the Library and the community. It was later renamed for the local historian Edith Fae Cook in 2017. Crosby Branch Library maintains 49,460 volumes and circulates 126,329 items each year, including print books, audiobooks, DVDs, music, and digital materials. It provides Meeting Rooms, a Computer Station, Kurzweil Equipment for the visually impaired with Scanner, Printer/Copier/Scanner, and other facilities. Some of its featured programs include Computer & Technology Classes, English Learning (ESL) Classes, Adult Literacy Services, Proctoring for Distance Learning Exams, and Tours for Schools.
