The Carver Library is a San Antonio Public Library branch and serves 39,500 residents in Eastside San Antonio and Bexar County. The library was named after the African-American scientist of Tuskegee Institute George Washington Carver and is housed in a 10,770-square-foot building. It maintains 56,696 volumes and circulates audiobooks, music CDs, videos, and DVDs. Its resources cover African American studies, children's literature, and Spanish Language materials. George Washington Carver Library offers computer access, WiFi, contact-free pickup, and various library events, including Chair Yoga, Tai Chi, Lego Time, and Computer Training programs.
