The Brook Hollow Library, an affiliate of the San Antonio Public Library, serves the residents of San Antonio and schools in the Northeast Independent School District, Alamo Community College District 8, and School Board of Education 5. The library opened its doors in December 1983 and is currently housed in a 14,470-square-foot building with approximately 111,000 items. It is open to the public seven days a week and offers computers, wireless internet access, contact-free pickup, storytime events, teen gaming, LEGOs, and other programming activities for all ages.
