The Isabel G. Bazan Library is a branch of the San Antonio Public Library serving over 60,000 residents in the City of San Antonio, including schools in the San Antonio Independent School District, 95% Hispanic, 1% African-American, and others. Opened in 1977, the library maintains 61,956 volumes, picture books, audiobooks, music, DVDs, videos, and a small Latino collection. It also houses extensive juvenile and adult Spanish books like Buen Hogar, Geo Mundo, Ideas, and Selecciones del Reader's Digest. Bazan Branch Library provides computers, wireless internet access, contact-free pickup, and various online and in-person programming for all ages.
