The Bayview/Linda Brooks-Burton Library serves 815,200 residents in San Francisco and is a part of the San Francisco Public Library. The Library System has 2.7 million volumes on hand and circulates 10.6 million items each year. The Bayview/Linda Brooks-Burton Branch was originally established as a storefront library in 1927 and opened in its new 9,000-square-foot building in February 2013. It holds collections of English, Chinese, and Spanish fiction and nonfiction books, magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and African-American history and culture. It offers bilingual storytime and other library events and services.
