The Balboa Branch Library is part of the San Diego Public Library, serving 81,600 residents in the Clairemont Neighborhood in San Diego. The Library System maintains 5.2 million volumes and circulates 6.8 million items annually, including fiction and nonfiction books, audiobooks, DVDs, graphic novels, and electronic resources. The Balboa Branch Library, formerly the Mesa Vista Branch, was opened in 1971 and provides collections of adult and children resources. It has a dedicated children's area, 10 public computers, WiFi, and programs like Storytime, Reading Club, Lego Club, and Tech Assistance.
