The Atascocita Branch Library serves over 70,000 residents in the Atascocita area of Humble City and is part of the Harris County Public Library. The library opened in May 1996 and is housed in a 12,000-square-foot building on Pinehurst Trail Drive. It maintains over 94,430 volumes and circulates 483,185 items per year, including fiction and nonfiction books and movies. Atascocita Branch Library has a Digital Media Lab, Meeting and Study Rooms, Laptops, Pharos Computer Booking Station, Print Station, Photocopier/Scanner, Typewriters, and CAC Reader for the U.S. Military. Some of its featured programs include Computer & Technology Classes, English Learning (ESL) Classes, Adult Literacy Services, and Proctoring for Distance Learning Exams.
