The Ida Branch Library serves 4,838 residents in Ida Township and is a part of the Monroe County Public Library. The library system maintains 482,921 volumes and circulates 1.4 million items per year. The Ida Branch opened in the 1930s in the Anweiler building and moved to its current township building in 1951. It provides a community meeting room, a fax machine, free wireless internet, a photocopy machine, and computers, which include 3 Internet Public Computers, 2 Laptops, an Online Public Access Catalog, and a Children's Early Learning Computer Station loaded with educational games and 60 educational software. Additionally, it offers book clubs, book sales, storytime, crafts, chair Yoga, and other library events.
