The Grosse Pointe Woods Public Library serves more than 16,000 residents in the city of Grosse Pointe Woods in Wayne County, Michigan. It is one of the branches under the Grosse Pointe Public Library (GPPL), founded in 1939, and later, in 2006, the Wood Branch was opened to cater to the increasing needs of its patrons and has contributed to the aggregate collection of GPPL, which includes a little more than 170,000 book and serial volumes, more than 6,000 eBooks, nearly 22,000 audio files, and more than 25,000 video files. Furthermore, it has catered to more than half a million visitors, registered more than 22,000, and circulated nearly 600,000 items across all three sites.
