The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries, owned and managed by the Muscogee County School District, serves over 227,000 residents in the city of Columbus. Established in the 1830s, the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries operates seven branches, two bookmobiles, and two automated 24-hour library kiosks. It maintains approximately 332,620 volumes and circulates over one million items annually. It provides meeting rooms, desktop computers, laptops for checkout, printing/copying/scanning, 3D printing, free WiFi, computer help, and curbside pickup services. The library also offers a variety of programs for children, teens, and adults.
