The Gateway Branch Library is a public library serving more than 400 residents in the city of Gateway in Mesa County, Colorado. It is a library branch under the Mesa County Public Library District (MCPLD), and efforts to establish it started as early as 1897. Gateway Branch Library was opened in response to the rising demand for library services and a larger area. It adds to the county system's overall resources, which include more than 200,000 books and serial volumes, nearly 10,000 e-books, nearly 15,000 audio files, and more than 33,000 video files. Also, the library system saw more than 760,000 visitors annually, nearly 1.5 million items circulated, and over 76,000 registered borrowers.
