The Arvada Library serves more than 120,000 residents of the city of Arvada, located in Jefferson and Adams counties, Colorado. It belongs to the Jefferson County Public Library System as a subsidiary branch. (JCPL). As a satellite branch of the JCPL, it maintains about a million volumes and circulates more than 7.3 million articles annually. In order to give all citizens access to knowledge, local library systems came together in 1952 to join this organization. JCPL now manages 15 libraries. In response to the growing need for library services, Arvada Library was established and adds to the county's overall resources, which include more than 700,000 books and serial volumes, more than 45,000 e-books, more than 87,000 audio files, and more than 121,000 video files. Also, the library system saw more than 2.4 million visitors annually, nearly 7.4 million items circulated, and over 350,000 registered borrowers.
