The Winthrop Public Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves more than a hundred residents in the city of Winthrop in Little River County, Arkansas. It is an affiliate branch of the Tri-County Regional Library. Formerly called Sevier County Library and established in 1905, it started as a library association formed in J.H. Rice Residence was formally opened in 1906. To make up for the library system's current expansion and fully serve its patrons, the Winthrop Public Library was opened in 2004. It contributes to the system's overall collection and services, which now total more than 155,000 books and serial volumes, more than 300 e-books, more than 2,000 audio files, and more than 6,000 video files. Over 35,000 people have registered as borrowers with the library system, which has four sites and circulates more than 100,000 items with more than 67,000 visits each year.
