The Dequeen Public Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves more than 6,000 residents in the city of De Queen, Sevier County, Arkansas. It is an affiliate branch of the Sevier County Library, which was founded in 1905 by a group of interested citizens who organized to start a public library. In response to the growing need for library services, the Dequeen Public Library was opened, which contributes to the overall collection and services of the county library system, which includes more than 155,000 books and serial volumes, more than 385 e-books, more than 2,000 audio files, and more than 6,000 video files. Additionally, the library system hosts over 67,000 visitors a year at its 17 sites, circulates over 108,000 items, and has over 35,000 registered borrowers.
