The Wayne Public Library serves about 274,860 residents in the city of Westland and neighboring communities and is a member of a public library cooperative, the Library Network, which serves 74 libraries in southeast Michigan. The publicly-funded library maintains 475,490 volumes and circulates 640,913 items per year, including print books, ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies, and magazines. It also offers a Storybook Trail at Attwood Park for children and adults in addition to preschool storytime, babytime, and other library events.
