The Tuckerman Branch Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves nearly 2,000 residents in the city of Tuckerman, in Jackson County, Arkansas. It is an affiliate branch of the Jackson County/W.A. Billingsley Memorial Library, which started with two rectors of St. Paul's Episcopal Church who organized to start a public library. In 1933, it was organized and called Newport Public Library, and the first Jackson County Library Board was established in 1942. In response to the growing need for library services, the Tuckerman Branch Library was opened in 1950, which contributes to the overall collection and services of the county library system, which includes more than 40,000 books and serial volumes, more than 744 e-books, more than 1,000 audio files, and more than 981 video files. Additionally, the library system hosts over 15,000 visitors a year, circulates over 23,000 items, and has over 14,000 registered
