The Sage Branch Library serves more than 30,000 residents in the city of Bay City, the county seat of Bay County, Michigan. As one of the branch libraries under the Bay County Library System (BCLS), the Sage Branch was a gift from Mr. Henry W. Sage in 1884, originally occupying the second floor. Today, Sage Branch offers complete library amenities, including activities, Wi-Fi, and computers with fast Internet connections. For all ages, it has a wide variety of books, CDs, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, and videos. It also has toys and puppets for kids, as well as a community space for group or organization meetings. It contributes to the county library system with nearly 300,000 book volumes, more than 3,000 eBooks, almost 30,000 audio files, and more than 16,000 video files. Additionally, BCLS serves the county's more than 61,000 registered borrowers and receives nearly 400,000 visits and nearly 800,000 circulations annually from all five locations.
