The Riverside Branch Library serves 153,095 residents in the North Macon area and is one of the Bibb County Libraries. The library is a part of the Middle Georgia Regional Library, which maintains 511,243 volumes and circulates 1.1 million items annually. The Riverside Branch was opened in 1970 and moved to its current location in Rivergate Shopping Center in 1999. It provides computers with access to the Internet, electronic databases, library catalogs, and Microsoft Office packages, as well as fax and notary services, storytime, toddler time, and summer programs.
