The Powell Branch Library serves about 192,650 residents in the City of Knoxville and is a member of the Knox County Public Library. The library receives public funding and holds collections of 1.2 million books and serial volumes, 19,000 electronic books, 68,700 audio, and 28,400 videos. The library circulates about 2.7 million items every year and also provides storytimes, musical activities, and other library programs. It is open Monday through Saturday and has a conference room with a Projection screen, Podium, Refrigerator, Sink, Microwave oven, and Coffee Urn.
