The Myrtle Glanton Lord (MGL) Memorial Library serves 157,500 residents in the City of Murfreesboro and is a part of the Rutherford County Library System. The public library maintains over 263,000 volumes and circulates 993,770 items per year. The MGL Public Library opened in December 2004 and is located inside the Patterson Park Community Center. It offers computers for public use, faxing, copying, and notary services.
