The Middle Georgia Regional Library serves 237,174 residents of Macon City and the Counties of Bibb, Crawford, Jones, Macon, Twiggs, and Wilkinson. Approximately 1.1 million items are circulated annually by the regional library, which also maintains 511,243 volumes. The library offers traditional library resources, genealogy and local history materials, meeting rooms, computers and Internet access, computer classes, fax, notary services, Summer reading, youth programs, adult literacy assistance, and numerous other events and activities for all ages.
