The Metamora Branch Library serves over 590 residents of Metamora Village in Lapeer County. The library is part of the Lapeer District Library, which maintains 85,000 volumes and circulates 132,215 items per year. Metamora Branch Library started as a bookmobile and became the Metamora Branch in 1971, now occupying a 2,800-square-foot building. It provides a meeting room, a children's area, study areas, and four computer stations with two Internet stations, a word processor, and a children's multimedia computer. It also offers Storytime, Knitting Groups, and other literacy events.
