The Kingsport Public Library and Archives serves 53,200 residents in the city of Kingsport in Sullivan County. It was established in 1921 in the basement of the Community YMCA through the efforts of five women from the Kingsport Book Club. The library has since expanded its collections and services, maintaining approximately 101,250 volumes and circulating 264,250 items per year. It offers public computers, hotspots, WiFi, wireless printing, interlibrary loans, After Hours Book Club, Summer Reading, Storywalks, Storytime, and other library programs.
