The Franklin Branch of Detroit Public Library serves the residents of Detroit City in Wayne County. The library was established in 1950 to replace the older Outer Gratiot Branch and provides library collections that total 6.8 million volumes and roughly two million items circulated by the library system. The branch offers Computer and Mobile Electronics assistance, Book clubs, Crafts, mobile printing, and other events and services.
