The Flint River Regional Library serves about 283,000 residents in the city of Griffin and the counties of Butts, Fayette, Lamar, Monroe, Pike, and Spalding. It is a system of nine-member libraries located across the counties. The library maintains 511,668 volumes and circulates approximately 1.2 million items annually. It offers Chromebook checkout, printing, copying, and faxing at the Griffin-Spalding County Library, as well as mobile hotspots for all patrons. It also offers exam proctoring, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten events, and other library programs and services.
