The East Hickman Public Library serves about 1,270 residents in the city of Lyles and is a branch of the Hickman County Library. The library maintains 48,600 books and serial volumes, 84,350 electronic books, 1,400 audio, and 2,900 videos, with roughly 61,500 items circulated annually. The Library provides local history and genealogy collections, microfilm newspapers, a Webrary, Hotspots, wireless internet access, summer reading programs, and other events for kids, teens, and adults.
