The Aaron Heard Resource Center Services, formerly the East Athens Community Resource Center, serves the residents of Athens City in Clarke County. The library is a part of the Athens Regional Library System renamed for Aaron Heard. The library system maintains roughly 348,190 volumes and circulates 1.4 million items yearly, including print and electronic materials. The Aaron Heard Resource Center Services provides a gymnasium, a full-service kitchen, a game room, a fitness area, a dance room, arts and crafts spaces, and a multi-purpose room. In addition, it offers computers, WiFi, scanning, and printing services.
