The DeSoto Trail Regional Library serves about 60,000 residents in Baker, Early, and Mitchell County, Georgia. The library system includes Camilla Public Library in Camilla, ​Lucy Hilton-Maddox Memorial Library in Blakely, Pelham Carnegie Library in Pelham, Sale City Library in Sale City, and Baker County Library in Newton. It maintains 103,000 volumes and circulates approximately 153,750 items per year. In addition to traditional resources, the library offers genealogy collections owned and operated by the Mitchell County Genealogical Society as well as other library services and programs, including storytime.
