The Headquarters Library of the Clayton County Library System serves 283,300 residents in the city of Jonesboro. Founded in 1941, the library system operates six branches located throughout the County, which include the Headquarters, Forest Park, Lovejoy, Morrow, Northwest, and Riverdale branches. The library maintains 531,190 volumes and circulates approximately 569,000 items per year. It provides patrons access to public computers, printing/copying/scanning, WiFi, one-on-one tech help, interlibrary loans, and classes on computer, technology, and trade skills training. Some programs available at the library include storytimes, crafts, movie nights, genealogy workshops, and financial literacy workshops.
