The Chestatee Regional Library System is a two-county library system serving over 55,000 residents in Dawson and Lumpkin Counties. It includes the Dawson County Branch and Lumpkin County Branch, and the headquarters is located at 56 Mechanicsville Rd, Dahlonega. More than 358,000 items are circulated annually by the library system, with roughly 101,435 volumes maintained in its collections. Beyond books, it provides Experience Passes, educational Toys & Games, Gadgets & Gizmos, Binoculars, Telescopes, and Makerspace tools. The library offers meeting rooms, interlibrary loans, printing, scanning, laminating, notary public services, test proctoring, and genealogy reference services.
