The Branch District Library serves about 46,900 residents of Branch County and Allen Township of Hillsdale County, Michigan. It was opened in 1991 and includes six library locations: Algansee, Bronson, Coldwater, Quincy, Sherwood, and Lucille E. Dearth Union Township branches. The library district maintains a collection of over 108,000 physical items and 2 million digital materials, with more than 184,000 items circulated annually. It also provides book club kits, Library of Things items and cellular WiFi hotspots for checkout, as well as a variety of vegetable, flower, and heirloom seeds available at three of its branch libraries. Branch District Library offers Michigan Activity Pass, public meeting spaces, WiFi, computers with Internet, Microsoft Office and LibreOffice, printing, interlibrary loan services, and homebound delivery.
