The Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, along with other branches of the Memphis Public Library, serves over 630,000 residents in the City of Memphis, Tennessee. The library circulates several items from its variety of physical and digital collections, which span health, history, business, technology, and language learning. The branch also houses the Second Edition Book Store, where patrons can find fairly used books for sale at favorable prices. Along with other programs are Cloud 901 and DiscoverREAD to promote literacy among teens and children.
