The Ann Arbor District Library serves 163,590 residents in the city of Ann Arbor and seven neighboring towns in Washtenaw County. Its locations include Downtown, Malletts Creek Branch, Pittsfield Branch, Traverwood Branch, and Westgate Branch. The library maintains 430,960 volumes and circulates 8.8 million items per year. The items include large print books, audiobooks, graphic novels, fiction and nonfiction, music, magazines, DVDs, and CDs as well as musical instruments, art and science tools, board games, puzzles, art prints, and giant games. It provides meeting rooms, public computers, a notary, homework help, storytimes, ESL conversation, classes, and workshops.
