The Bayfield Carnegie Public Library is one of the oldest public libraries in Wisconsin serving about 3,993 residents in the city of Bayfield. The library maintains 15,734 volumes and circulates more than 45,000 items per year, including periodicals, audio materials, and video materials. These collections cover local history, lighthouses, and marine topics like sailing, kayaking, and boat building. Patrons also have access to five public computer workstations with the internet, interlibrary loans, a large children's area, and video archives for checkout.
