The Capitol Branch Library serves 569,330 residents in the City of Milwaukee and is a part of Milwaukee Public Library. The Library System maintains 1.8 million volumes and circulates 2.8 million items annually. Capitol Branch opened its doors in 1964 and offers fiction books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, and music CDs. It also provides curbside services, community and conference rooms, storytime, virtual programming, Chair Yoga, and other library events.
