The Hazel Brown Leicht Memorial Library serves 5,270 residents in West Salem Village and is a part of the La Crosse County Library. The Library branch in West Salem was opened in December 2000 and is housed in a 9,500-square-foot building with a children's area and study rooms. In addition to books and electronic resources, the library offers book sales, storytimes, youth activities, and adult programming, including summer movies.
