The library initially operated as a bookmobile but has since grown to occupy a 20,000-square-foot building owned by the city that has study and conference rooms as well as public computers. Over 4 million items are circulated annually in the library, which maintains over 920,000 books and serial volumes. The library offers community resources and materials for young learners and hosts an annual writing competition.
