The Bainbridge Island Library serves 24,550 residents of Bainbridge Island in Kitsap County. The library was founded in 1863 and joined the Kitsap Regional Library System in 1947. The library is publicly funded and maintains more than 383,000 books and serial volumes, 22,000 electronic books, 26,800 audio, and 26,000 videos, with 2.4 million items circulated annually. It has big meeting and study spaces, separate teen's and children's areas, outdoor gardens, public computers, and free WiFi, and offers copy, scan, fax, and print services, book drops, curbside pickup, and activities like Storytimes, Gardeners Clinic, and Movie shows.
