The North Mason Timberland Library serves 3,900 residents of Belfair City in Mason County. The library belongs to the Timberland Regional Library, which maintains 1.1 million volumes and circulates 4.3 million items per year. The North Mason Branch first opened in 1950 in Dorothy Newkirk Harper's Belfair Drugstore and is currently housed in a 14,500-square-foot building with collections of books and other library materials, meeting rooms, and public computers. It provides events for patrons of all ages.
